After receiving a warm welcome at the Tribhuvan International Airport, you will get your permits this day and meet fellow travelers, guides, and porters. This day is the most special day of all as you get a full day to explore such a breathtaking destination. Rara Lake is truly a heaven in the earth and everyone wishes to indulge in its pristinity. You will feel lucky that day because you are getting such a great experience. Besides exploring the lake, you will also visit the National Park headquarters. You can also do boating or hike upto the beautiful Murma village.

Now, after you have explored your dreamy destination, it’s time to retrace your steps back home. After breakfast,you will bid farewell to Rara and proceed forward. The path will begin with flatlands at first and take you to Gamghadi.

Leaving Puma village, you will walk all the way to Burma, also known as Nauri Ghat. To get there, you will walk via spruce forest rich in alpine vegetation. Afterward, you will start descending towards Ghuruchi Lagna Pass at 3480 meters. On the way, you get a mind-blowing view of Karnali river and majestic snowy peaks. It will take altogether 5-6 hours for you to complete this day’s journey.

Here comes the last day of your trek where you will head to Jumla at first. You will retrace some trails you visited before. You will also cross the suspension bridge above the Hima river and continue downhill. On the way, you can enjoy the refreshing hot natural spring at Tatopani. You will then pass Dhanphe Lagna Pass (3691m) and follow en route trails to reach Jumla.

Time to say goodbye to the far western region of Nepal. From the Simikot airport of Jumla, you will take a half an hour flight to Nepalgunj. If you have extra days and want to explore more, you can stay at Nepalgunj. Otherwise, you will take flight back to Kathmandu from Nepalgunj.

The duration of the flight is 50minutes. Nepalgunj is 153 kilometers southwest of Ghorahi and 16 km south of Kohalpur. You can take spicy food like chatpat panipuri and enjoy some cold drinks after visiting the plain warm areas. You will also visit the Bageshwari temple. The view of Nepaljing is so mesmerizing and gets the breeze air in the evening time by doing evening time and start to pack warm clothes for another place.

You feel the fresh breeze and spectacular view of the mountains which will encourage you to move forward. You will begin the trail following Jugad Khola. Then, you will pass via many villages and small marketplaces like Khalanga Bazzar. Walking for 6-7 hours, you will reach chere Chaur(grassland).

The trails will take you to Jaljala Pass(3580m) from where the view of Kanjiroba Himal looks mind-blowing. You will keep on ascending along steep trails until the downhill path appears. Following the path you will enter the Rara Lake circuit and Chala Chaur after walking 5hours.

Leaving Chala Chau, you will proceed along the riverside of Jaljala Khola, You will then continue through several settlements located around the dense pine forests. Then, the terraced farmlands appear, and your 7-hours along the journey will come to an end. Sinja Valley was the capital city of this region during the Malla dynasty. Today, it is a small yet beautiful village located at the bank of Himal river.

This day, you will be trekking towards Ghorosingha, situated at the bank of Ghatta Khola. The spot is also perfect for camping. To reach there, you will continue walking alongside the river until you reach Laha village. Then, you will across a suspension bridge and follow another stream of Ghatte Khola towards the west. This day constitutes the uphill and downhill trails of a total 4-5 hours.

It is the most awaited day of the trek where you will be walking towards Rara Lake. Rara Lake is one of the most beautiful lakes in Nepal. And on the way there, you will first ascend Chucharnare Danda. As you continue here, the topmost point of danda offers fabulous views of the Western Himalayas, Rara Lake, and Rara National Park. You will then pass village-like Maighat, Chhapri before reaching Rara for and overnight stay.
